Que ma joie demeure

Creation 2002

Were the dancer’s body a musical instrument…

Were Fêtes Galantes a choreographic orchestra…

A vast complexity of choreographic architecture built from phrases that are easy to interpret, first together, then in canons, fugues, questions and answers, subjects and counter-subjects.

The music of J.S. Bach then slides into this great choreographic structure designed to welcome it and benefit from its dynamic attitude and plenitude.

Let my joy remain is a dialogue of pleasure between music and dance, the essential movement with music and the musical quality of dance.
