Atys

Revival at the Opéra Comique - 2011

In 1987, Lully’s opera Atys was first presented at the Opéra Comique by an exceptional creative team: conducted by William Christie, directed by Jean-Marie Villégier, its choreography was the work of Francine Lancelot, assisted by Béatrice Massin.

In 2011, Atys will be revived by the same creative team, minus the late Francine Lancelot. Bétraice Massin will be in charge of recreating her choreography, a task which will allow her to lovingly revisit the dances with which she honed her choreographic skills.
